He's doing well - of course he has become quite the character. Favorite activities include nuzzling on hands, feet, elbows, etc. whenever he wants a little attention. Laughing out loud only encourages him.
He still has a lot of energy that we have to take care of daily with walks and runs, and he loves being outside. I think the general idea in his mind is that everyone in the city exists to pet him, so he has no qualms about going from person to person for attention. He's fine with other dogs, although we've had the occasional incident of him getting a little too friendly too fast and the dogs having a little scuffle.
Training is going well - I'm going to try send a video clip in the next e-mail. Generally he knows to walk on our right hand side, wait at the top of each flight of stairs before charging down, sit, stay, lie down, go. He eats very well at mealtimes and is generally good about no scavenging on the streets. He has put on a bit of padding from when we first got him for sure, but I think he will remain pretty lean.
Leaving him alone is still a bit tough - we've only had one accident/couch chewing in four weeks in the city, but in the country we still have not successfully left him alone. His blanket is ripped to shreds. He loves the car though, so we usually just bring him with us and leave him in the back when we go shopping etc.
Overall, he gives and gets lots of love. It's going well and we're very happy with him.
Hope all is well with you. Keep up the good work.
