The Last Resort is a non-profit organization. We are currently in the process of building a local rescue facility and barn to shelter, rehabilitate and rehome a higher volume of animals than is possible now.

We are always in need of local volunteers to help care for the animals and to assist with fundraisers and events.
If you live in Northern NJ and have room in your heart and home (or barn) to help a rescued animal on their journey to a forever loving home, please fill out our foster application and we will be happy to help you begin the process of becoming a loving foster home for a derserving rescue animal.
If you cannot take an animal into your home right now, there are several other ways you can help.
~We are always in need of monetary donations to support the high cost of rescue and neccesary medical care for these animals.
~We are currently looking for anyone willing to offer services and materials to help when we are ready to construct our new facility.
~We need Home Depot/Lowes gift cards, volunteer labor, lumber, building materials, fencing, concrete, gravel and plumbing supplies.
~We also need donations of Orijen dog food, dog bowls, dog food containers, treats, collars, leashes, pet supply gift cards, blankets, towels, bleach, lemon joy, pet shampoo, clippers, dog brushes, advantage, dog beds, crates, harnesses, kiddie pools, toys....etc.
