We're so happy to hear from you. Sorry we got a bit busy w/ the past holiday season that we haven't been able to update you and Lisa. Gen Tso (Molly) is doing very well. She's a ball of energy and can be quite a handful at times, but we love her so much that we just think its all cute. Hahahaha! We were able to teach her a several tricks and she's definitely a smart girl. Like I said...she's so energetic! Earon loves taking her out on walks and they love jogging together around our little community. They're exercise buddies. She has plenty of space to sniff around outside and her nose loves it! Everyone who has met her in our neighborhood loves her and thinks she's so gorgeous! She's been able to make some new furry friends too. She's doing very well...there are times when she'll have an accident, but not as much as before. We did have an issue in the beginning with her chewing on all the doggy beds that we bought for her, but we got rid of that problem when Earon bought a big crate for her. Instead of using pillows we just piled a few fleece blankets in there and she loves that. We're still working on having her and our cat, Mooshu to really get along. At least our cat is not afraid anymore and they're able to be in the same space. Gen Tso is very playful and tends to chase our cat who I have to say is a bit on the antisocial side and just wants to be left alone most of the time. I think to our cat Mooshu...her new baby sister is a bit too playful for her. Hahahaha!
Gen Tso is healthy, but she still has a bit of the itchy skin. Not sure if its some kind of skin dermatitis or its just a winter itch. Definitely not fleas because I apply a monthly medication on her for fleas/ticks. We noticed a bit of dandruff before so we bought this medication that you put on their skin and that seemed to help...less itching and the dandruff seem to go away. I've been using 2 types of shampoos when I do give her a bath...oatmeal and a flea/tick one (especially when it was warmer).
I attached a few pictures of Gen Tso. You'll see that she was able to meet our families and relatives...and her furry cousins. They all love her and both our moms spoil her by buying her jackets (they know it tends to be colder up here in the mountains where we live).
Anyway, we wanted to thank you again sooo much for taking care of her before. You're definitely Gen Tso's fairy godmother and I will give her a big hug and kiss for you. =)
Thanks and love,
Jackie and Earon
Where do I even start. Lisa has been a crucial member of our team since the beginning. Started out as our staff nursemaid, fostering pregnant mommies and birthing multiple litters of puppies. She quickly evolved into an essential part of the rescue's core. She is involved in various local rescue efforts. Our local expert in tracking, trapping and capturing lost, scared or escaped dogs. A true advocate for local dogs and a true rescue warrior. We would not be where we are without Lisa!!!
Linda adopted her dog Mickey from our rescue many years ago. After learning about our rescue efforts she wanted to help. She is a long time volunteer with The Last Resort. Linda is our fundraising coordinator and works very hard orchestrating fundraising events that enable us to continue saving more lives. Linda loves to create new and different fundraising ideas. She prefers to get hands on with the dogs and loves the events where our adoptable dogs can attend, helping them get the much needed exposure they need to find their forever homes.

Marissa is A rock star ! Aside from a legal career and a busy mom, Marissa has fostered so many dogs for our rescue. She opens her own home many weekends to manage and facilitate transports with dogs arriving from other states so that they can meet their new foster and forever homes here in NJ. Marissa Is also our volunteer legal council. Her 2 daughters, rescuers in the making help her with the dogs and rescue projects!! We are lucky to have her on our team and appreciate ALL that she does for us and the dogs !!
