See Jessie's story below. These are the photos of her when she was flown from TX to KS. When she arrived in KS, a nice trucker named Bob drove her all the way to NJ!!
Jessie was one of 24 dogs (18 of which were siberians) seized in a cruelty investigation in McKinney TX. See was very scared but warmed up to human contact. This was the original email we received:
The local shelter called me for help with a cruelty seizure this week. Of the 24 dogs taken out of deplorable, filthy, chained or cruelty confined conditions, 18 of them are Siberians - one possibly blind. These dogs were only being fed filthy chicken feed, no water in 100 degree weather. In 9 days, there will be a hearing for custody. At that point, if the county gains custody, these dogs will not have much time before they will need to move to rescue groups. No adoptions occur from this shelter - it is merely a holding facility and they are overwhelmed - even before this seizure. I am hoping to have offers from Siberian rescue groups who are in a position to take one or some of these dogs and to arrange transports for them.
